Apron Sizing Info

Our Colour Me Kids aprons are designed with growing kids in mind. They offer generous coverage for creative play, while allowing plenty of movement and room to grow.

Each apron has domes on the neck strap, spaced 4cm apart, to allow for growth. Child Small size has 3 domes, Child Large has 3 domes.

For the best fit, we recommend checking the measurements below and choosing based on your childโ€™s height rather than age. If your child is between sizes, sizing up is a great option for longer wear.

Aprons Case Study

This example shows a 4-year-old child who usually wears size 5 clothing, wearing both our Child Small and Child Large aprons to compare the fit.

On the left, he is wearing the Child Small, adjusted to the longest dome setting. The apron sits just above his knee and fits him well at his current size.

On the right, he is wearing the Child Large, adjusted to the shortest dome setting. This sits slightly below the knee and is also a comfortable fit.

While both sizes suit him now, the Child Large allows more room for growth, making it the better option if you are choosing with longevity in mind.
